This is one way that even a first-time installer can experiment with gear setup patterns without having to use a time consuming bearing splitter/puller and potentially more damaged bearings.
The fact is that with our experience, we can walk ANYONE through a set-up (which the actual pattern is 90% of the job and frustration), as long as the installer is patient and doesn't have to spend an hour at a time between pulling, pressing and re-installing the shims required.
