the part ordered was a
OPEN DIFFERENTIAL BARECASE - FOR 3.55 AND NUMERICALLY HIGHER GEAR RATIOS 44590 the # on the case out of the 2000 jeep is 44648, the bolt holes on my case are larger then the one you sent me. the order is under Jim Waters , reference #1 1412793 ref 2 po1006-14-5, what can we do now just send it back, please let me know.

44590 is the correct carrier per application. You can check here for further verification:
http://www2.dana.com/expertforms/deabill.aspx
Enter the factory tag # or use the 1997.5 Jeep TJ LHD Model 35 application that will pull up the 1997.5-2000 listings.

Spicer still lists and sells the 44590 as the OE replacement. All critical dimensions are the same for early 94+ YJ and later TJ chassis Model 35 open carrier. For later models you simply drill the bolt holes to accommodate the larger holes of the stock ring gear.

Enlarging the ring gear bolt holes is not hard, as the metal is very soft and can be done even with a normal hand drill. It takes about 5 minutes to have it prepped. Normally if a person is equipped and familiar with differential work this is a non-issue. There are many different models that require the same type of preparation for use with different ring gear bolt sizes.

All the parts you have are correct, but if you decide to return the parts you will need to get a return number and proper return address. All information and the return request form is located here:
http://www.accuautoparts.com/returnsnxchanges.jsp
If you cannot print the form, we can fax or mail it to you upon request.
